The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board has released the Unified Tertiary Matriculations Examination results of over 450,000 candidates who sat for the exam all over the country on Tuesday.
The board warned candidates to be mindful of the activities of fraudsters. He also added that, it was reported on Wednesday that some fraudsters were extorting money from the candidates to access results.
The board’s Head of Public Affairs, Dr Fabian Benjamin, said the candidates could access their examination results through their mobile phones by just sending Result to 55019.
Benjamin further noted that the results of the other examination days would continue to be released as the examinations continue.
At first, the results of the first day were released on the website but some fraudulent individuals copied and manipulated it to deceive candidates.
This brought about the decision to move it to the mobile platform for candidates to use their unique phone numbers used during registering for the examination to access their results.
