As COVID-19 continue to spread across the country, taking toll on business activities, Evelyn ojei Foundation has empowered over 3000 house holds to cushion the effect of the coronavirus pandemic.
Evelyn Ojei Foundation, a Charity NGO also dedicated to providing free training for young men and women in the society has decried the level of hunger in the country.
The organization became in registered 2007 and has trained and empowered over 1,500 Adults in catering, aluminum fabrication, shoe making, generator and home appliances repair, soap detegents and hair care products making amongst others.
Following the COVID-19 outbreak in the country which ensued a total lockdown, the charity organization diverted all energy into ensuring survival of the less privilege in the society.
Ojei Foundation has distributed foodstuffs valued at $7 to over 3,000 households in the first and second relief distribution in Lagos and Ogun states but seeks to expand to other parts of the country.
Undoubtedly, these are trying times for numerous citizens, beneficiaries revealed how badly the pandemic are taking toll on them.
Meanwhile, seeing smiles on faces of thousands of beneficiaries even in this difficult times is a great feeling of happiness and satisfaction.
The President of the foundation Mrs Evelyn Ojei who acknowledged government's efforts in cushioning the effect of the pandemic, bemoaned the level of hunger in the country, while she called on government, philanthropists, private companies and individuals to support credible NGOs to meet the needs and aspiration of the masses during this difficult times.
