"Nigeria Govt Will Tax Small Businesses To Death And Politicians Will Share The Money Amongst Themselves"

Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, many firms had taken their businesses exclusively online and depend on courier and logistics companies to deliver goods to their customers.

With the increased cost of licences for logistics and courier companies by the Nigeria Postal Service (NIPOST) cost of goods sold online, courier services are expected to rise soon.

However, Nigerians especially small business owners took to social media to frown at the new development even as they said the government had done nothing for small businesses other than frustrate their efforts.

Companies like DHL and FedEx would be excited about the new NIPOST licensing fee because it would automatically put smaller logistic firms out of business.

Those smaller firms need to come together, strengthen their operations and become more profitable, just like the banks did.
