COVID-19: Nigerians React As Lady Asks NCDC To Arrest Mom For Violating Social Gathering Ban

Twitter user, @ruthyorea putting sentiments aside asks NCDC to arrest mother for attending a wedding ceremony despite the ban on social gathering due to the coronavirus pandemic.

In a recent tweet, @ruthyorea called for the arrest of her mother by the Nigeria Center for Disease Control (NCDC).

She said her mother went for a wedding in Mararaba, Nasarawa, thereby ignoring the social gathering ban and putting herself at risk of getting infected.

She tweeted:

"Dear @NCDCgov good morning Please can you arrest my mom in maraba ,she went for a wedding at Aso in maraba, please send your task force there to locate them and shut down the wedding ceremony. Thank you."

The tweet which has since gone viral with over 6,000 likes and over 2,000 retweets, got mixed reactions from social media users.

While some accused her of being a snitch, others hailed her for putting sentiments aside and taking no chances.
