COVID-19 : A TOTAL OF 30 CASES NOW CONFIRMED IN NIGERIA

The Lagos State Government has confirmed three new cases of COVID19 in the  State.
This was revealed by the Nigeria Center for Disease Control (NCDC) via social media.


It was gathered that amongst the three new cases, two cases are returning travellers and one is a contact of a confirmed case.

Also, the Commissioner for Health, Prof. Akin Abayomi disclosed that, first amongst the latest cases is a Nigerian male with a 2 week history of dry cough, intermittent high grade fever and general pains.

He added that, "the patient was recently in Dubai for 2 weeks. He's been on admission for 3 days with Chest X-ray and CT scan suggestive of pneumonia".

He continued that "the second case is a Nigerian male without a travel history. He's an asymptomatic contact (driver) of a known positive case.
While the third case is a Nigerian female who returned from USA on March 8, 2020"

As at Sunday evening, 22nd of March, there are now 22 cases in Lagos, 4 in Abuja, 2 in Ogun, 1 in Ekiti and 1 in Oyo totaling 30 confirmed cases in Nigeria, though two have been discharged with no deaths recorded.
