PHOTOS: Makinde Commissions Family Court To Enforce Child's Rights In Oyo

Oyo State Governor, Engr Seyi Makinde commissioned the Family Court for Oyo State today. 

The Governor who disclosed that, the Child’s Rights Act, 2003 was domesticated in Oyo State in 2006, however added the Family Court where the rights of children will be enforced was not established until now. 


He added that with the establishment of the court, the Ministry of Women Affairs and Social Inclusion will be better positioned to carry out their responsibilities. 

Seyi Makinde assured the good people of Oyo swift response and that the rights of the child will always be protected.



He further urged good people of Oyo State  to make use of the opportunity and not hesitate to contact the Oyo Ministry of Women Affairs Rapid Response Team (OYOMWA-RRT) should they see any child's rights being violated.

The Governor however commended the judiciary led by the Honourable Justice Muktar Abimbola for the laudable achievement, while he added that all issues that directly impact the family and the child will be resolved in this court.
