Nigerians troop out demanding for justice following the death of Vera Uwaila Omozuwa, a 100-level Microbiology student of University of Benin, UNIBEN who was allegedly raped and murdered by some unknown men while reading in a Redeemed Christian Church of God, RCCG, worship centre in Benin City.
It was gathered that the protest started this morning in Benin, protesters in black gathered at the national museum, moved to Edo State CID and other parts of the state for the peaceful protest.
Similarly, the General Overseer of RCCG, Pastor Enoch Adeboye, who reacted to the death, promised to assist the Nigeria police to bring justice and arrest the perpetrators of the crime.
Last week, 18year old Jennifer was allegedly gang-raped to death by 5 boys in Narayi, Kaduna State.
Popular Nigerian rapper, Folarin Falana, yesterday called for a nationwide protest over the recent rape allegations and killing of innocent young girls in Nigeria.
His tweet read:

“It is important that we as Nigerians are fearless and we are ready to challenge the government through peaceful protests.
“It’s not enough to sit in our houses and post on socials. Justice must be served.
Concerned Nigerians on the streets, social media have called on the government to bring the evil doers to justice whilst implementating strict laws to protect the girl child.
