COVID-19: NCDC Gives Advisory On Use Of Facemask, Total Infections Exceed 24,000 In Nigeria

The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control confirmed 779 COVID-19 cases in the country on the 27th of June, bringing total cases to 24,077.

NCDC disclosed this Saturday night via it official twitter account.

Nigeria since the outbreak has confirmed a total of 24,077 COVID-19 infections, 8,625 have recovered and discharged to join family and friends while 558 persons have lost their lives to the deadly virus.

Meanwhile, with the evolving evidence on the transmission of COVID-19 amongst persons, the World Health Organization (WHO) provided recommendations for the wearing of face masks by the general public to curtail further spread and prevent oneself.

NCDC has published an advisory on correct use of face shields with face masks by the general public.

Adhering to the correct use of face shields & masks will reduce the risk of transmission of COVID19.
