Total Discharged COVID-19 Patients In Lagos Now 85

The Lagos State Ministry of Health has disclosed that Sixteen COVID-19 patients receiving treatment in Onikan Isolation center and the infectious Disease hospital have recovered from the novel coronavirus and have been discharged to unite with their families.

The LSMOH revealed this via it verified Twitter account on Wednesday evening.

LSMOH wrote;

Breaking! 
16 more #COVID19Lagos patients; 14 males & 2 females including 3 foreign nationals - 1 British🇬🇧, 1 Chinnese🇨🇳 and 1 polish 🇵🇱 have been discharged to join the society.

The patients; 14 from Mainland Infectious Disease Hospital, Yaba & 2 from Onikan Isolation centre  have fully recovered and tested negative twice consecutively to COVID-19.

This brings the number of patients successfully managed and discharged from our facilities to 85.

Meanwhile, the Lagos State Governor, Babajide Saneo-Olu while confirming the development said;

"As our front line health workers record successes in the battle against COVID-19, we are duty bound as citizens to break the chain of transmission of the infection by staying safe at home, practicing social distancing and adopting the highest possible personal hygiene".

Sanwo-Olu who applauded residents for their continued perseverance further said the government will to do the very best to cushion the effect of the lockdown by re-energizing the welfare package.
