The General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, (RCCG), Pastor Enoch Adejare Adeboye, has made a new donation of N20 million to Osun State to help suppress the effect of coronavirus on the residents.

Daddy Adeboye stated that, the support is to “acknowledge the efforts of the state government in curbing the spread of the virus in the state and prayed that God would put an end to COVID-19, not just in Nigeria, but globally”.

It should be noted that, as the time of filing this report, Osun has the third highest number of confirmed cases of coronavirus in Nigeria according the Nigeria Center for Disease Control (NCDC).

Obviously, the state requires support in the fight against COVID-19 outbreak and it is considered that Pastor Adeboye's donation is coming at the right time.

It would be recalled that, Pastor Adeboye had earlier made a donation of 8,000 hand sanitizers, 8,000 surgical face masks and 200,000 hand gloves to support the Lagos State government in protecting the medical staff with necessary protective gears.

Also, Pastor Adeboye through the RCCG Christian Social Responsibility (CSR) had donated 11 ICU beds fully fitted with ventilators in Lagos, Ogun and Plateau states.

With the announcement of twenty new cases by the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) on Friday night, Nigeria has confirmed 210 positive cases of coronavirus, recorded 4 deaths and has discharged 25 patients who have fully recovered.
