COVID-19: 10 Nigerians Awaiting Evacuation In The UK Test Positive

Report says, 10 Nigerians amongst those who registered for evacuation from the United Kingdom due to the Coronavirus pandemic, have tested positive for the novel virus.

Recall that LIFESTYLEGIST reported that, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in a statement released earlier, gave conditions for Nigerians residing outside the country to be evacuated.

Condition such as, intending returnees pay for their journey back home, and also be tested for COVID-19 before the evacuation.

According to a source in the Nigerian High Commission in the UK, most of those who tested positive were not resident in the UK, but went to the European country for business and educational purposes. 

It was gathered that, they have been isolated and have started treatment, but the fears remain that the confirmed cases might have infected others.

Meanwhile, it was reported that efforts are now being made to begin contact-tracing.

It would be recalled that, the UK is one of the high risk countries battling with the novel  coronavirus.
