Lagos State Government which reportedly started the construction of a new Isolation Centre, said it's converting a section of the newly renovated Mobolaji Johnson Stadium in Onikan.
It was gathered that, the new isolation center would have a consultation section and space for health officials and would also contain facilities that would be used to carry out test on individuals with coronavirus symptoms and accommodate patients.
It was also reported that, equipments like the Air Conditioners and beds were fixed on Thursday, and while construction continues it is expected that the centre would be fully be ready by Friday night.
It should be noted that, the Lagos State House of Assembly passed into law an emergency COVID-19 bill that empowers Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu to spend N20billion in combating the pandemic.
It would be recalled that, since the outbreak of COVID-19, Nigeria has recorded a total of 65 positive cases with one death while it has affected 200 Nations globally causing 22,000deaths
