The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board on Sunday said it is considering a new date for the commencement of the 2020 admissions.
JAMB already scheduled a meeting with all the tertiary institutions in Nigeria on Monday, to brainstorm on the possibility of shifting the commencement of admissions to a date that would better accommodate the vagaries of the COVID-19 pandemic.
Recall that, on July 19, JAMB issued a guideline directing all institutions to begin the conduct of the first and second choice admission exercise with effect from August 21 to yet-to-be-announced date.
However, the spokesperson for JAMB, Dr Fabian Benjamin disclosed to journalists in Abuja on Sunday that, the reason for another meeting with all the institutions is see the possibility of amending the earlier and mutually-agreed date for the conduct of post-UTME screening and other processes.
