Former Head of State, Gen Abdulsalami Abubakar, has responded to the reports that the suspended Acting Chairman of the EFCC, Ibrahim Magu, conducted a raid in his Minna residence in 2017.
In a statement issued on Thursday by his military assistant, J. Mfon, Abubakar, it was disclosed that operatives from the EFCC went to his guest house in error, but didn’t conduct any search of the property.
It was gathered that the EFFC from Kano zone came to Minna to search a house in Tunga but the team ended up at His Excellency’s Guest House in Minna.
However, when the EFFC boss, Magu was contacted, he said he was not aware of the operation and probably the team came to the wrong address.
