#SAYNOTORAE: Pastor Arrested For Raping 16-year-old Girl

A Prophet identified as Nnamso Jacob of the Living Power of Zion Church in Akwa Ibom has been arrested for defiling a 16-year-old girl.

This came barely 24 hours after the State's Commissioner of Police, Imohimi Edgal, arrested 12 suspected rapists, including a pastor.

The pastor who is the general overseer of the church, was allegedly offered her intoxicating liquid substance while he reportedly took advantage of her.

It was gathered that the 16-year-old girl who had an appointment with the prophet visited him in church for counselling and deliverance.

According to the statement released by the police command and obtained by THEPUNCH;

“The Akwa Ibom State Police Command, under the leadership of the Commissioner of Police, Imohimi Edgal, has arrested another clergy, one Prophet Nnamso Friday Jacob, 35, who allegedly raped a 16-year-old girl.

“Investigation revealed that the victim previously visited the so-called prophet and General Overseer of the Living Power of Zion Church, situated at Ndue Eduo, Okon Eket, Eket LGA for counselling and deliverance, but was given an appointment by the suspect to report back on June 23, 2020, for spiritual adoption.

“Consequent upon the appointment, the victim visited the prophet on the scheduled date.

“However, while she was in the prophet’s counselling room, the suspect administered an intoxicating liquid substance on the victim and thereafter took advantage of her and had unlawful carnal knowledge of her.”
