Though it can be difficult to avoid being exposed to the virus, especially when you aren't working from home but according to experts, there are lot of things you can do to protect yourself.
Check out below recommendations:
- Try to maintain social distancing. Avoid close contact with people especially those coughing or sneezing. WHO suggests staying 3-6 feet away from people who may be sick.
- Wash your hands always. NCDC already highlighted important moments to consider washing your hands. Don't just use water, wash thoroughly with soap and water for at least 20 seconds every time and if you're unable to access soap and water, use alcohol-based hand sanitizer.
- Resist the urge of touching your face. Subconsciously, you can transmit the virus from your hands to your mouth, nose, or eyes before washing your hands.
