One Dies, Many Injured In Otedola Bridge Accident, Lagos

Report says a fatal accident around Otedola bridge area has claimed the life of an unidentified woman.

It was gathered that the accident happened around 8 am.

The Lagos State Traffic Management Agency confirmed the accident.

LASTMA noted that the accident involved a fuel tanker, a car and a commercial bus loaded with 10 passengers.

It tweeted, 

“Fatal accident on Otedola Bridge inward Berger involving a tanker and a Mazda bus. All relevant emergency agencies alerted.

In the same vein, a top security source said the accident happened at along the express road, by Mobil petrol station, inward Berger.

“a tanker fully loaded failed break and ram into an inter-state Mazda bus. Six people critically injured including a boy of about 9years old, one woman died and the injured have been taken to the hospital while the dead body of the woman has been taken to the mortuary.

“The DPO of Alausa, DPO of Isheri, RRS men, LASTMA, Road safety corp, Commander State Traffic Unit, CSP Titilayo Oriyomi Oluwasanmi and her personnel are at the scene.

“Accidented vehicle has been removed off the road by LASEMA and road has just been open for traffic to flow.
