COVID-19: Seyi Makinde Gives Update On 19 New Cases In Oyo

The Oyo State Government has confirmed nineteen new COVID-19 cases in the State bringing total cases 162.

The Oyo State Governor, Engr Seyi Makinde who is also the head of COVID-19 Task Force confirmed the development in via a statement released in the early hours of Thursday.

Engr Seyi who revealed 15 of the cases are from iSON Xperiences in Ibadan South West LGA, while 2 are from Ido LGA and 1 is from Ibadan South East LGA. 

He further appealed to citizens to call the State's emergency operations center if the need arise.

He wrote;

OYO STATE COVID-19 TASK FORCE UPDATE (MAY 20, 2020)

1. Two confirmed COVID-19 patients have received their second NEGATIVE test results and have been discharged. This brings the number of discharged cases in Oyo State to forty-eight. https://t.co/9x1WZslAy8

2. Also, the COVID-19 confirmation tests for nineteen suspected cases came back POSITIVE. Fifteen are from iSON Xperiences in Ibadan South West LGA, 2 are from Ido LGA and 1 is from Ibadan South East LGA. So, the total number of confirmed cases in Oyo State is 162.
