President Muhammadu Buhari’s Special Assistant on New Media, Bashir Ahmad has expressed concern as Nigeria recorded 553 new cases of coronavirus.

LIFESTYLEGIST reported that the Nigeria Center for Disease Control, NCDC, on Saturday confirmed 553 cases of COVID-19, with 378 recorded in Lagos State.

This is the highest number of cases ever recorded in Nigeria since the outbreak of the novel coronavirus three months ago.

Bashir Ahmad took to his Twitter page to urge Nigerians to take responsibility by observing health guidelines to slow down the numbers.

On his Twitter page, Ahmad wrote:

“Things not looking good gaskiya, 553 new cases in Nigeria, 378 in Lagos alone. Taking responsibility is the only way that can slow down these numbers.

“Stay at home, when going out becomes necessary, wear a mask, observe social distancing and other NCDC guidelines. Let’s do it!”
