Mikel Obi Set To Join Brazilian Club, Botafogo

Report says, the Former Super Eagles Captain, Mikel Obi, is about to join Brazilian club, Botafogo, scheduled to be concluded today April 3.

It would be recalled that, Mikel terminated his contract with Turkish club, Trabzonspor, in March after he made a comment on coronavirus on Instagram.

It was gathered that, Botafogo is awaiting Mikel Obi's response as the club had already made an official proposal.

It was also gathered that Botafogo decided to opt for the Mikel after they failed to land former Ivory Coast international, Yaya Toure.

It should be noted that, Mikel Obi had featured in 27 games for Trabzonspor this season, anchoring them to the top of the league table.
