COVID-19: 'We Will Hold The FG and Health Minister Responsible If There's Outrageous Increase In Cases' - Dino Melaye

Dino Melaye has called on the President of Nigeria, Mohammad Buhari and the Health Minister to stop the invitation of the Chinese medical team coming to Nigeria to help in the fight against COVID-19.

The former Senator who applauded Nigerian doctors for their effectiveness in fighting the novel virus claimed that the invitation of Chinese medical team will complicate the COVID-19 outbreak in the country.

Dino who disclosed this on his social media page further suggested that the Chinese medical team should go to the epicenter of coronavirus as Nigerian doctors are doing well.

He wrote;

"PMP  please stop the invitation of Chinese Doctors to Nigeria. Our Doctors are doing well in the circumstance. Let them go to countries with escalating cases of Corona. If they come and there is outrageous increase in cases,we will hold the FG and minister of Health responsible".

Recall that LIFESTYLEGIST reported that the Federal government announced that the Chinese medical team are on their way to Nigeria to support in the fight against coronavirus.

Meanwhile, the Nigeria Medical Association reacted that the federal government took the decision without consulting the association which is tantamount to outright humiliation.

NMA however rejected the support of the Chinese medical team as it claimed it is inconsequential.

Meanwhile,  Director-General of National Orientation Agency,  Garba Abari said that the 18-man Chinese medical team are coming to Nigeria to share their experience with the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control on how they defeated the virus.
