There was a little drama in Bayelsa as unknown criminals stole foodstuffs and items which is the stimulus package the state has prepared to distribute to the vulnerables in the state to cushion the effect of coronavirus pandemic.
The hoodlums reportedly broke into a government stall in Igbogene area of Yenagoa, the state capital and went away with the items.
It was gathered that among food items stolen are many bags of rice, beans and garri meant for the vulnerable people of the state.
It was further gathered that the stolen foodstuffs were meant for Sagbama, Ekeremor and Southern Ijaw local government areas.
Undoubtedly, this may affect the distribution of food as many households targeted might be cut down after the sad incident.
