CORRECTION: NCDC Confirms 48 New COVID-19 Cases In Six States

As against the earlier report, the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control has disclosed that the country recorded 48 new COVID-19 cases yesterday, bringing total cases to 541.

The NCDC revealed this via it verified Twitter account, while it apologized to the residents of Ekiti and the citizens of the country.

NCDC wrote,

Yesterday, we erroneously reported one new case in Ekiti. This was wrong and was caused by an error in the verification process.

Therefore, as at April 18 2020, there are 541 confirmed cases, 166 discharged and 19 deaths.

Ekiti state has 3 confirmed cases, NOT 4
