The Nigeria Center for Disease Control has confirmed Four new cases of COVID-19 in the country.
This was revealed via it's official Twitter account @NCDCgov on Monday Night.
The tweet confirmed that out of the four new cases, 3 are in Lagos State and 1 in Abuja, whilet two of these cases are returning travellers.
The Minister of Health, Dr Osagie Enahire also noted that, the Nigerian Government is thankful for robust support from multilateral & bilateral partners like UN Nigeria who offered prompt support and China Embassy Nigeria who donated locally-sourced PPEs & medical supplies to help protect healthcare workers on the frontlines of COVID19 response.
He added that, while the Nigeria Government is combating COVID19, Nigerians should help reduce the spread of disease & the pressure on the healthcare system. If we are not strong, we must be fast; together, we will end this quicker.
He further urged Nigerians to Take responsibility, practice hand & respiratory hygiene, observe social distance & self-isolate for 14days if you're just returning from abroad. Call NCDCGov via 0800 9700 0010 if you develop COVID19 symptoms.
