COVID-19: Ansar-ud-deen Suspends Juma'at Prayers

The Ansar-ud-deen Society of Nigeria has has announced the suspension of all mosque activities especially weekly Asalatu, Jum’ah prayers and any gathering of up to 50 people.

This was revealed by the National Publicity Secretary of the society, Muhammed Sola Hassan, in a statement provided to the newsmen. 

He further said, the national executive council, the trustees and the national council of missioners agreed on the decision to suspend the activities.

The Publicity Secretary added that, the suspension of the activities takes immediate effect till further notice. 

He said “The society shall abide by government recommendations and update members and mosque users of any change in the suspension decision". 

While he acknowledged that many of the members and mosque users might find the  decision very uncomfortable, but the decision is for the good of the community and a compliance with the Islamic response to pandemic.
